As the trip comes to its bittersweet end, before we are off, we had one last day enjoying the sea and its many wonderful creatures. Today the conditions were just right that we were able to visit a new location, Cayo Laurel, and while we finished our surveys for the day, we got to enjoy the reef nearby and have a fun snorkel. The ocean blessed us with many of its magnificent organisms, some bigger than others and some often overlooked. Among the obvious highlights like the nurse shark, bottlenose dolphin, and stingray, we also saw amazing finger coral, nudibranchs, a huge milk conch inhabited by a crab, and a wide variety of Christmas tree worms
and feather duster worms. Everyone was ecstatic about our last experience here, as it was nothing short of amazing. What were the chances that we’d stumble upon so many beautiful things? I had an amazing time snorkeling these past few weeks and learning highly valuable skills. I can’t wait for my next adventure out at sea.
oh didn't see you there ....heyyy
