Last day Field day!

 

Today was our last field day... it's sad but sweet. We have all been working so hard, and I think it's time to go back home. While I've been here I have learned so much about myself, my team, and research. I'm so lucky to have been apart of this experience! Now I can clearly say benthic surveys have a place in my heart overall. Although they can be tough sometimes, especially in choppy waters, you get to see so much life and it's nice to put in the hard work. 

While I'm ready to get back to Texas, Puerto Rico will always have a place in my heart for research! We've experienced it all, from the patch reefs to the         wonderful man we buy mangos from,  to the beautiful cities here.  Thank you to our professors and my team for making this trip worthwhile!
