Irresistible Invertebrates

Another great day in Puerto Rico! We started the day in Enrique by doing benthic surveys. During these surveys I saw Cassiopea, many sea cucumbers, and even a conch! Afterward we headed into the mangroves to take roots surveys, and man did that current make me work. The mangroves housed a plethora of invertebrates, included a multitude of sea urchins.

After lunch we took a tour of the research labs on the island, where they are growing Caribbean King crab, Diadema antillurum, and a couple different species of corals. Can't wait for what's next!
