DAY 5: OMG QUEEN CONCH

Today, we conducted a Conch Survey at Enrique Cayo near the coral reef. 2 groups swam 10 meters from the center point and moved away from each other, creating a large circle. We then looked for live/dead queen conch and brought them to the center. The queen conch (Lobatus gigas) is a large marine mollusk found throughout the Caribbean, known for its iconic spiral shell and its important ecological and cultural roles.
